 Is our Programme the right route for you?

We deliver our Lead School Partner Route PGCE in partnership with the University of Chester.   Our programme offers an exciting opportunity to train alongside outstanding practitioners, gaining valuable knowledge, skills and professional attitudes that will enable you to start your journey  towards becoming an excellent teacher and future leader.

Upon successful completion of the programme you will gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and will be awarded a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) which will qualify you to teach anywhere in the UK.   The University of Chester are our accredited partner and deliver the academic aspect of the programme. 

 

  • You will complete a minimum of 120 school based learning days in the classroom across 2 placing schools to offer contrasting teaching experience.

 

  • We partner with 24 Secondary Schools across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.  This includes Comprehensive and Independent schools.  Click HERE to see a full list of our partner schools

 

  • You will receive 10 days of centre based professional studies delivered by highly experienced teachers and professionals around issues such as Safeguarding, SEND and Behaviour Management.

 

  • You will complete 27 days of subject based learning with University of Chester

 

  • You will be supported throughout your training by a team of School based and University based Mentors

 

  • Successful trainees will complete the programme to gain Qualified Teacher Status and your PGCE will be verified by University of Chester.
