The take up of History at GCSE has remained high and examination results are and have been consistently above the national average.
Emma has experience in undertaking whole school development projects and also projects with the wider community for example the local “History Makers” project. Local primary schools have liaised with Emma to develop their Key Stage 2 History lessons. She has also worked in local and national network groups for GCSE and Key Stage 3 developments.
Emma has experience of mentoring both Associate teachers, NQT’s and new staff across the curriculum areas. She has successfully supported and guided staff to develop their classroom practice and professional standards. Emma has also benefitted from their new ideas and strategies that new teachers and staff have brought to the school. Emma has recent experience as an examiner for the new GCSE History syllabus.
